Come and celebrate our wonderful watery landscape!  An action packed day for all ages

 

Full Program

 

Talks: Learn about more about Avon’s watery past and natural history

Films: Find out about surfing the Severn bore; Discover an area the size of Texas in our Oceans made out of floating plastic debris!

Workshops: Find out how to build your own rainwater harvesting system; learn how to take your own watery snaps

Activities for families: Go on a treasure hunt; see and hold real freshwater creatures; Be captivated by tales of rivers from around the world; walk along the Avon Gorge.

Plus: See the Wild Waters exhibition in the Gallery; Get a delicious Organic lunch at our new Café; Listen to live music as you wander round our stalls.

 

We aim to raise awareness and celebrate rivers and water in Avon…Come along and be inspired!

 

Travel to and from the Create Centre with Bristol Ferry Boat Company and a child travels free with each fare-paying adult when quoting ‘Wild Waters’! Regular departures from City Centre (Cascade Steps), SS Great Britain, TempleMeads train station, Castle Green and Welsh Back. For timetables please see www.bristolferry.com

 

Alternatively catch the Steam Train from SS Great Britain - runs to and from the Create Centre every half hour
